On 26 May, the North of England’s creative, digital and tech sectors best and brightest came together to celebrate the Prolific North Champions Awards at the historic Old Trafford Stadium, the home of Manchester United FC.
Manchester based mobile app and software company, Silverchip, won two highly coveted awards taking home Tech Company of the Year and the Tech for Good Award.
Tech Company of the Year
Scriptbaker won Tech Company of the Year for its people first approach while showcasing its growth and performance over the last year, and for the exceptional work the company does, for its clients but also for the community.
Tech for Good Award
Scriptbaker won the Tech for Good Award for its innovative pro-bono community projects, Donate A Laptop and School Meal Finder. These two web tools were created in response to the pandemic, helping the underprivileged and those experiencing hardship providing positive social impact in the community.
Liam Bateman, CTO and Co-Founder at Scriptbaker, said: “We are incredibly proud and delighted to win in two highly competitive categories at the prestigious Prolific North Champions Awards. To win Tech Company of the Year is a true testament to the fantastic work and commitment shown by our team to deliver exceptional digital solutions for our clients."
"Silverchip’s core value is purpose before profit, with the aim to use technology to create a better future for people and the community. We’re extremely honoured to win the Tech for Good Award.”
These award wins follow a hugely successful year for Scriptbaker after recently winning four awards at the Digital City Awards back in March, taking home the following honours: Best Medium Digital Agency, App of the Year, Best Use of Technology and the Tech for Good award.
